Medical Assistant II - Family Medicine - Spanish Required

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant II to join our West Valley/Fairbourne Family Medicine Clinic. This is an immediate opening for a motivated and patient-focused individual.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patients
• Collect and maintain accurate patient demographic information
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations and provide providers with relevant information (lab results, vitals, medications, allergies)
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and care needs
• Telephone triage and insurance authorizations
• Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
• Administer immunizations and perform phlebotomy
• Maintain exam rooms and manage documentation and filing
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients
• Typing/keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 WPM
• Basic arithmetic, computer, and analytical skills
• Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist others as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate professionally with physicians, staff, and patients

• Standing and walking for extended periods

• Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
