Medical Assistant (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls, complete documentation, and filing to support medical staff at the facility.
  • Complete and maintain medical records.
  • Absorb and assist with admissions and the consent process for clients and provide ongoing support during medical appointments.
  • Obtain vital signs and urine screens and document outcomes for medical team review.
  • Create and distribute client packets.
  • Maintain a safe physical environment for all clients.
  • Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and effectively communicate and document changes to client status in charts and/or to the treatment team.
  • Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
  • Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a CNA or Home Health Aide in NJ.
  • Must have N.J. Certified Medical Assistant certification.
  • Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/regulations, DDAP, and CARF.
  • General office skills and organizational ability.

Pay

$18/hour, with shift differentials

Schedule

Shift: 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, work every other weekend.
