Medical Assistant (Full-Time)
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, complete documentation, and filing to support medical staff at the facility.
- Complete and maintain medical records.
- Absorb and assist with admissions and the consent process for clients and provide ongoing support during medical appointments.
- Obtain vital signs and urine screens and document outcomes for medical team review.
- Create and distribute client packets.
- Maintain a safe physical environment for all clients.
- Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and effectively communicate and document changes to client status in charts and/or to the treatment team.
- Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
- Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA or Home Health Aide in NJ.
- Must have N.J. Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health.
- Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/regulations, DDAP, and CARF.
- General office skills and organizational ability.
Pay
$18/hour, with shift differentials
Schedule
Shift: 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, work every other weekend.
