About the role
The Medical Assistant / Front Desk Administrator (MA/FDA) sets the tone for every appointment by managing the front desk, handling administrative duties, and assisting with clinical care to create a welcoming patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and/or accompany them to examination rooms
- Answer questions and assist with required forms
- Register new patients into the EMR system with accuracy, including demographic information, insurance eligibility, and document scanning
- Check in returning patients, confirming all necessary documentation
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms
- Obtain patient medical history, medication, and immunization records
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA requirements
- Prepare and assist with procedures and treatments
- Check out patients, collecting copays, balances, and product payments; obtain signatures and schedule follow-up appointments
- Perform sterilization techniques
- Inventory supplies and equipment, replacing as needed
- Confirm patient appointments by phone, ensuring accuracy and rescheduling when necessary
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly with a positive, compassionate attitude
- Respond to emails and voicemail messages courteously
- Scan and process paperwork into the patient EMR
- Run Daily Close reports, ensuring all transactions are registered and balanced
- Collaborate with team members to achieve office goals
- Perform additional duties to ensure efficient office operations
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- 2+ years of medical/clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of EMR computerized processes and data entry procedures
- Positive attitude, trustworthy, accountable, and self-motivated

Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, and maneuver in small areas

Pay
$17 – $22 per hour
