Responsibilities
- Be a versatile resource, providing assistance across various clinics within a set local area.
- Ensure examination rooms are well-prepared and ready to welcome patients.
- Comfort patients, help transition from waiting to exam room, and prepare for check-ups.
- Play an essential role in the examination and treatment of patients, working directly under the supervision of a physician.
- During patient interviews, measure pulse and temperature, and record them accurately in their medical history.
- Engage in essential tasks with patients and record information in their medical history.
- Assume responsibility for the collection, labeling, and delivery of specimens to the laboratory.
- Be an energetic participant in performance improvement activities whenever the opportunity arises.
- Continually enhance your skills and knowledge, attending mandatory in-service education sessions.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel to local clinics and perform assigned duties well.
- Understanding of medical terms.
- Capacity to provide comfort to patients with outstanding bedside manners.
- Appear welcoming, assuring, and easy to approach when interacting with patients.
- Ability to follow directions from medical practitioners.
- Awareness of how to handle medical charts and records.
- A knack for maintaining high levels of precision and meticulousness.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Less than one year of experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
