Responsibilities

• Be a versatile resource, providing assistance across various clinics within a set local area.
• Ensure examination rooms are well-prepared and ready to welcome patients.
• Comfort patients, help transition from waiting to exam room, and prepare for check-ups.
• Play an essential role in the examination and treatment of patients, working directly under the supervision of a physician.
• During patient interviews, measure pulse and temperature, and record them accurately in their medical history.
• Engage in essential tasks with patients and record information in their medical history.
• Assume responsibility for the collection, labeling, and delivery of specimens to the laboratory.
• Be an energetic participant in performance improvement activities whenever the opportunity arises.
• Continually enhance your skills and knowledge, attending mandatory in-service education sessions.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel to local clinics and perform assigned duties well.
• Understanding of medical terms.
• Capacity to provide comfort to patients with outstanding bedside manners.
• Appear welcoming, assuring, and easy to approach when interacting with patients.
• Ability to follow directions from medical practitioners.
• Awareness of how to handle medical charts and records.
• A knack for maintaining high levels of precision and meticulousness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Less than one year of experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer
