A Day in the Life

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic.
• Work alongside the provider to ensure patient care and clinic operations run smoothly.
• Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures.
• Measure patient vital signs such as weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other patient care as needed.
• Document required patient care information including Medical Histories, referral requests, and other necessary records.
• Assist with daily operations as required to provide optimal patient care, including supporting fellow teammates and providers when needed.

Qualifications

• CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support role.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson Healthcare.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. Employees are also required to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year of hire and annually thereafter, or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.
