• 40 hours weekly
• Monday - Friday on Days from 7AM - 7PM (may vary)

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic.
• Work alongside the provider to ensure patients are taken care of and the clinic runs smoothly.
• Act as the first point of patient care within the clinic.
• Room and prepare patients according to clinic-specific checklists or procedures.
• Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic.
• Complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.
• Perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection.
• Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care, which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Requirements

Credentialed Medical Assistant

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred.

Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support role or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson Healthcare.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
