About the role
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dedicated team at Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring exceptional patient care and community health.
Responsibilities
- Assists with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of physicians or nurses.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas and performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
- Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Qualifications
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
