About the role

Supports providers and ensures seamless patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents
  • Aiding in patient discharge and providing after-visit summaries
  • Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
  • Performing procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations
  • Completing controlled medication tasks
  • Training new Medical Assistants and contributing to special projects
  • Handling complex phone calls
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
  • Accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Managing clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support
  • Contributing to daily team flow

Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates
  • Provide training to new Medical Assistants and contribute to special projects
  • Handle complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision-making
  • Flexibility and teamwork are essential for taking on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
  • Accurately document in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support
  • Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
  • Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

Qualifications
