Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and prepares them for healthcare visits
• Documents vital signs and populates the electronic medical record accurately
• Aids providers during examinations and treatments
• Maintains supplies and disinfects treatment rooms
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues
• Completes pre-visit planning and checks logs
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, and handles voicemails
• Supports the front office as needed
• Works collaboratively with vendors
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
• Computer skills, including EMR experience
• 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics
• Knowledge of company's practice management system (Athenahealth)

Qualifications

• Current BLS card
