Job Description
Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
- Experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.
- Vitals
- outside medication reconciliation
- outside allergy reconciliation
- screenings
- patient history and virtual health
- Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
- Affords administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
- Floors to other offices based on business needs.

Qualifications
- External Education:
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- An active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification
- Relative experience as outlined below
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
- In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred.
