Medical Assistant/Certified Phlebotomy Technician (English/Spanish)
About the role
We are currently hiring a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (National Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to support our Bronx-based family health center. The position requires a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed AND a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification.
Responsibilities
- Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
- Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
- Completes referrals and discharges patients.
- Aids providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
- Aid in provider treatments.
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Bilingual Spanish/English is REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Computer literacy
- Training in phlebotomy and patient vitals
- Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients
Qualifications
- Minimum: $23.00/hour ; Maximum: $23.00/hour ; Additional $1,500/annum in differential pay
- Onsite in the Bronx, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

- Starting Compensation: Minimum: $23.00/hour ; Maximum: $23.00/hour ; Additional $1,500/annum in differential pay
