Medical Assistant Certified- CMG Nationwide- Full-Time/Days

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider
• Measures vital signs, and interviews patients to obtain health histories
• Under the provider's direction, provides health promotion and counseling to patients and caregivers
• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and caregivers
• Ensures understanding of the plan of care
• Administers medications and immunizations (injectable, oral, topical, aerosol), provides wound care, and personal health interventions at the direction of a provider, as deemed competent
• Serves as a communication liaison for the healthcare team
• Affords patient scheduling and follow up care
• Maintains accurate, detailed patient records and charts using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with policies and procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program
• Current certification or registration through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or another equivalent organization
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) completion
