About the role
As a Medical Assistant at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, you will assist with patient assessments and treatments, perform basic diagnostic procedures, communicate patient conditions, document care, maintain equipment, and handle administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Administers patient injections and takes patients' vitals.
- Obtains authorization for consultations, referrals, procedures, and ABNs per policies.
- Evaluates chart documentation for coding purposes, applies official guidelines, and determines and applies appropriate codes.
- Documents all charges on the fee ticket to ensure 100% capture of all charges.

Pay
Hourly Wage: $18.00 - $30.62
Schedule
Our clinics are typically open M-F from 8 am - 5 pm.
