Patient Services
- Patient Prepping: Take and record vital signs, prepare exam room, assist with exams.
- If bilingual, aid in interpretation during visits and phone contact.
- Oversee provider's schedule and manage patient flow.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform tests such as EKG, vision and audio screening, and oxygen saturation.
- Maintain lab and work areas clean and orderly.
- Order lab and clinic supplies.
- Inspect supplies and document in log books.
- Complete lab work and record in logs.
- Autoclave and record weekly spore count.
- Avoidance of infection control practices.
- Assist with Quality Improvement projects.
Qualifications
- High School diploma/G.E.D.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- CPR certification (BLS).
- Medical Assistant Certification.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in adult, infant, and child care.
- Confidentiality and data protection.
- Computer literacy and medical office equipment use.
