This is a part-time, 0.5 FTE position with flexibility. The clinic is open Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM at our Watertown and Chaska locations.
About the role
Catalyst Medical Clinic, an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), is a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
- Room patients and prepare them for exams
- Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow
- Gather and verify pertinent patient information; compile patient medical data
- Assist with documentation of patient data into charts
- Prepare for injections, change dressings, and assist with minor procedures
- Perform phlebotomy
- Ensure coding requirements are followed during entry of patient information
- Act as a prescribing delegate
- Assist the Care Coordinator with patient care services
- Manage medical supply inventory and ordering
- Screen patient calls and respond in a timely manner; document all phone messages in the patient’s chart
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent
- Clinic experience preferred
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments preferred
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
- Complete job-required training
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic, office, or surgery center during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic, office, or surgery center (may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping, or sitting for long periods may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions
- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
Working Conditions
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
- Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
Pay
Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience. The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
