About the role
We are hiring immediately for a per diem Medical Assistant in Cancer Care at Lincoln Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical support to patients and manage hematologic conditions under the guidance of a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical support to patients and healthcare providers
- Assist with patient intake and discharge processes
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and record patient data accurately
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Support the overall mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- One of the following educational qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed
- Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting
- 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting
- Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification (exempt for certain qualified individuals)
- Current BLS certification (or within 30 days of start date for fully remote care team members)
- NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license for positions in New Hampshire
- Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant
