The Medical Assistant position is located at the Baptist Heart Specialists office on University Blvd in Jacksonville, FL (Primary Location: Downtown – Pavilion 836, 836 Prudential Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32207).
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
- Rooms patients and administers EKGs (back office duties)
Requirements
- Over 5 years of patient care experience
- Experience in a physician's office
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate of Arts/Science preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Certified Medical Assistant required
- Experience preferred but new Medical Assistants are welcome to apply

Schedule
Full‑time days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
