Medical Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

The MA, under the supervision of the Clinic Operations Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of duties while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver optimal patient care services and manage care within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater required. If greater (LPN or BSN), completion of program must occur within 3 years of applying for MA position
• Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification or greater required
• Certification: Current BLS/BCLS certification required. Needs to be approved following AHA guidelines. Online certification acceptable if hands-on training completed and documentation can be provided to support (email from instructor, class roster or expired AHA BLS/BCLS card)
• Experience: One year medical experience in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly-motivated new graduate
