Medical Assistant
About the role
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. Reports to: Director of Physician Services.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of physician or nurse.
- Executes basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent.
- CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
