Medical Assistant

About the role

The Medical Assistant at Dignity Health Medical Group will play a crucial role in keeping the day running smoothly and efficiently for both patients and the clinical team. You will be responsible for proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date, and managing multiple patients daily.

Responsibilities

- Maintain hospital standards of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens and collect laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol. - Assist the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments, and procedures as requested. - Retrieve necessary equipment and supplies. - Assist in patient/equipment preparation. - Perform follow-up actions as directed. - Complete hospital forms per protocol.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED. - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces Medical Services training program. - Demonstrated experience with computer programs used for checking-in and scheduling patients. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR certification.

Preferred

- Previous Medical Assistant experience. - Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR). - Experience in designated specialties.

Pay and Schedule

The posted compensation range is $19.01 - $26.85/hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with remote work options available.
