Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
- Completes clinical intake requirements, measuring and recording patient-specific information.
- Administers immunizations under provider direction, providing Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) and updating OSIIS.
- Captures patient specimens according to established protocols.
- Fulfills clinical policies, procedures, and standards to ensure patient safety and efficient clinic flow.
- Utilizes the EMR to complete tasks accurately and promptly.
- Uses standard medical terminology and medication references as needed.
- Demonstrates attention to detail for accurate documentation, specimen handling, and task completion.
- Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and team members through various forms of communication.
- Accepts feedback and incorporates coaching to enhance performance and consistency.
- Identifies and addresses patient concerns or issues, escalating as necessary.
- Engages in respectful, patient-centered interactions valuing patient perspectives.
- Maintains flexibility to float within the clinic for business continuity.
- Serves as a liaison with rural clinic staff for clinic-to-clinic visits.
- Assists in troubleshooting pharmacy and Epic/EPIC scheduling concerns.
- Ensures timely completion of screening tools and paperwork.
- Administers long-acting injections.
- Supports Variety Care's accreditation as a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
- Works collaboratively with staff to achieve the goals of the "Quintuple Aim" of healthcare reform.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completed and passed a CPR course within 90 days of employment.
- Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and typing.
- Possesses knowledge of instrumentation used in lab point-of-care testing, acquired within 90 days.
- Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA and Variety Care policy.
- Effective communication skills with the patient population.
- Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced work environment.
