About the role
The Medical Assistant position at Network180 is responsible for direct service to clients in the clinical outpatient setting of a Psychiatric Services Clinic or Integrated Case Management.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing medical supplies.
- Assist patients during clinical visits, ensuring they have the necessary paperwork and information.
- Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider, such as collecting specimens, taking vital signs, and assisting with injections.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or successful completion of MA externship with Network180.
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Current valid CPR certification or obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Qualifications
- Education or training in the basics of medical terminology.
- Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and e-mail.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of services for psychiatric and substance disordered consumers.
- Experience working with an Electronic Health Record.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Pay
$19.34 - $25.64 per hour. The final job offer is based on several factors (internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials).
Schedule
This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on-call, or holiday requirements for this position.
