Medical AR Specialist
About the role
Columbus Oncology and Hematology is seeking a full-time Medical AR Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for claim follow-up, denial management, patient billing, and account reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Review, research, and claim follow-up on insurance denials.
- Submit tiered appeals using precise arguments based on clinical documentation and payer medical policies.
- Navigate Practice Management and EHR to identify aged outstanding balances.
- Review medical necessity to defend high-dollar claims.
- Identify, review, research, and resolve credit balances ensuring the correct disposition of funds.
- Provide strong documentation skills to follow up activities, providing a historical timeline of actions taken.
- Perform AR follow-up, denial management, and reimbursement activities with two or more years of experience in a physician practice business office.
- Show overall knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle and medical terminology.

- Overall knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle and medical terminology.
Qualifications
This is an onsite position at our Dublin, Ohio business location. A hybrid opportunity is available following training.
