Medical AR Billing Specialist

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Submit medical claims accurately and timely to insurance carriers
• Review claims for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission
• Post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Work denied claims and submit corrected or appealed claims as needed
• Maintain compliance with billing regulations, payer guidelines, and company policies
• Communicate professionally with insurance companies, internal teams, and leadership
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• Medical Billing Experience
• Preferred: Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance billing processes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with EMR/practice management systems
• Reliable attendance and professionalism
