Medical Administrative Assistant
About the role
Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Perform clerical, administrative and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception. Maintain office files and records in accordance with internal procedures. Receive and refer visitors and telephone callers. Respond to routine requests for information and more complex requests to appropriate staff members. Open and distribute mail. Respond with form letters to routine requests. Draft and type routine letters and memoranda from specific instructions. Assemble relevant data and compile information as directed. Produce a variety of correspondence and reports. Maintain appointment calendars.

Requirements
- Experience in the healthcare setting
- Customer service skills
- Call center experience
- Knowledge of Health Information Management policies and procedures
- EPIC EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING HEALTH INFORMATION DEPARTMENT
Qualifications
- Must have experience in the healthcare setting within the last 6 months
- Must have EPIC experience supporting Health Information Department
- Job titles: Administrative Assistant (Healthcare), Medical Administrative Assistant, Unit Secretary / Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant, Patient Services Representative (with administrative focus)
- Contract position based out of San Diego, CA
- Pay range: $22.00 - $25.00/hr

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
