About the Role

The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings (e.g., academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts) within an assigned geography. The MS delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue and achieve product goals, demonstrating strong ownership, initiative, and compliant, integrity-driven performance.

This role involves developing and executing account strategies to grow market share, building relationships with clinicians, nurses, and patient advocacy groups, and collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g., Reimbursement and Access, Regional Science Managers) to address customer needs and market dynamics. The MS also supports sales success through participation in congresses, regional meetings, and other industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Engage Rare Neurology experts and other key customers within an assigned geography to deliver clinically focused selling messages, launch products, grow brand share, and consistently deliver product goals.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders, including Reimbursement and Access Specialists, to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends while developing strategies that support brand and corporate objectives in the assigned territory.
  • Develop strong working relationships with customers, collaboration colleagues, and internal contacts, including clinics, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Reimbursement and Access, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training, and Trade).
  • Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling activities to ensure a deep understanding of regional and local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
  • Develop comprehensive territory, account, and customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives, ensuring all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available Regeneron products.
  • Develop and execute strategies within key accounts in the Rare Neurology therapeutic area to establish, generate, and expand market share.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities with assigned accounts and lead coordination efforts within the Regeneron Rare Neurology account team, e.g., supporting contracting pull-through.
  • Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account through internal research and proactive information gathering from stakeholders, including business models, relevant metrics, unique challenges, and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory; Master’s degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Neurology sales; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred.
  • Launch experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations, with a concentration in Neurology.
  • Proven success and a positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines.
  • Results-oriented with a strong track record in product launches.
  • Strong account management experience with analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Current account management experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and the current Neurology marketplace.

Pay

Salary range (annually): $158,950 - $220,000.
