About the role

Allure HCS, a leading provider of skilled nursing and healthcare services, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medicaid Support Specialist to join our Corporate Medicaid team. As a Medicaid Specialist Assistant, you will provide on-site support within one of our skilled nursing facilities, Illinois, ensuring timely Medicaid processing for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily facility census for residents requiring Medicaid eligibility review
  • Identify Medicaid-eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist to ensure timely admission into the Illinois MEDI system
  • Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation as needed
  • Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine which required documents are available and which must still be obtained
  • Communicate professionally with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies
  • Contact Powers of Attorney (POA), responsible parties, family members, or other authorized representatives to obtain required documentation
  • Assist with monthly reporting and ongoing follow-up to help ensure Medicaid coverage remains current across assigned facilities
  • Support Business Office Managers with annual Medicaid redeterminations and related documentation as needed
  • Maintain accurate records while protecting confidential resident information
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility required
  • Basic knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility and terminology required
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with the flexibility to adapt to changing workflow and departmental priorities

Pay

$40,000-$50,000 Annually

Schedule

Part-time position (24 hours per week) and is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical insurance or retirement benefits.
