About the role

Certified Nurse Assistant providing essential patient support in clients’ residences, primarily on Saturdays for a 3-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and prescribed exercises.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.
• Prepare meals respecting client preferences and dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain detailed, accurate records.
• Report changes in patient condition and follow the care plan strictly; avoid medication administration.
• Utilize equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and document tasks via EVV app or time sheet.
• Ensure patient confidentiality, uphold patient rights, and report any abuse or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain dependability by punctuality and adapt to clients’ and families’ values.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.

Additional Details

The role involves traveling within the area, with physical demands including lifting approximately 50 lbs. The position is based on caseload and availability, with no guaranteed hours or length of assignment.
