Medicaid Contract Consultant

About the role

Leadership and coordination of assigned Medicaid programs in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Implement program changes and collaborate with other areas of the organization on the development, testing, and implementation of process and system changes to ensure the requirements of the assigned Medicaid program are met.

Serves as the liaison with vendors and internal functional areas and assists in the coordination of contracts with state regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Medicaid programs to meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Implement program changes and work with cross-functional teams on system and process changes.
• Serve as a liaison between vendors, internal teams, and state regulatory agencies.
• Provide guidance to intra- and interdepartmental staff.
• Accurately document reported information.
• Apply negotiation skills to drive business and process improvements.
• Maintain a positive, professional image in all communications and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in contract management OR 8 years of experience in contract management.
• Leadership experience.
• Project management and planning skills.
• Experience in a role requiring independent and critical decision-making.
• Experience communicating and building relationships with internal business units and/or external government agencies.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with corporate policies, procedures, and compliance regulations in healthcare administration or managed care.
• Medicaid experience.
• Experience using the Facets system.

Schedule

Flexible schedule: 3 days in the office per week with 2 days working from home.

Pay

Compensation range: $61,500.00 – $136,100.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
