About the Role

As a Mediaware DevSecOps Engineer at GDIT, you will be a critical part of successful data outcomes, accelerating solutions for clients while advancing your career. You will own the opportunity to provide clients with the data they need to turn insights and ideas into action. Your work will involve ensuring today is safe and tomorrow is smarter, supporting cutting-edge technology for core defense and intelligence services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the development pipeline for video encoding technology.
  • Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline activities, including end-to-end system performance validation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and end users.
  • Independently identify, recommend, and solve system issues to ensure proper configuration of systems, software, and applications.
  • Work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities impacting design, testing, and implementation of systems, software, and applications, including FMV exploitation capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related technical experience.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps, including monitoring applications/frameworks and integrating test results and build status (GitLab/Jira integration).
  • Experience maintaining a secure DevSecOps environment and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in setting up Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes, and Rancher-managed clusters.
  • Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including automated security scanning.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting (Bash and Python) and Linux/Unix system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECR).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple operational systems simultaneously.

  • Strong hands-on experience in software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
  • Self-starter with minimal need for training.
  • Understanding and application of engineering principles, practices, and standards.

Schedule

40 hours per week, remote work with less than 10% travel required.

Location: Remote, USA VA Home Office

Salary Range: $148,750 - $201,250 (based on experience, location, and contractual requirements)
