About the role

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), through strategic partnerships, prepares the federal law enforcement community to safeguard America's people, property, and institutions. We are a unique inter-agency organization preparing the next generation of law enforcement officers to meet our Nation's most pressing security challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates MSB's annual budgetary requirements commensurate with guidance from the Chief, Office of Public Affairs.
  • Creates and manages the policy, procedure, guidance, and governance supporting the delivery of media services.
  • Establishes standards and repeatable processes to reduce waste, redundancy, and inefficiency in MSB operations.
  • Responsible for producing and overseeing still photo and video content archives and ensuring proper information management of all historical content.
  • Affords assistance to subordinates in establishing tactical goals and objectives aligned to FLETC's and DHS' strategic goals and objectives; inspires and motivates subordinates toward their achievement.
  • Develops, reviews, and refines policies and procedures, evaluates and adjusts staffing and financial resources, and establishes performance goals for organizational media services.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Current and former federal employees within the General Schedule (GS) must meet the time-in-grade requirements outlined in the "Qualifications" section of this announcement.
  • This is a non-bargaining unit position.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver's license to conduct official government business.

Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level, including:
  • (1) Planning, developing, and implementing policy, procedures, and guidelines for media services and products within a large organization, including communicating available services to internal and external stakeholders.
  • (2) Managing a full life cycle of media products and services, including planning, budgeting, acquisition, equipment inventory, and program oversight.
  • (3) Overseeing and coordinating annual budgetary requirements, monitoring budget status throughout the fiscal year, and making long-term financial plans for media-related funds.
  • (4) Directing and supervising a multidisciplinary workforce, including television studio, photographic lab, and graphic arts shop personnel, to deliver high-quality media support services to a diverse customer base.
  • (5) Providing leadership in the documentation and production of still and video content for high-level events, official visits, graduations, and conferences, as well as managing official portrait and passport photo services.
  • (6) Utilizing innovative media technology and best practices to meet customer needs and improve service delivery, including oversight of web content management and the implementation of website improvements.

Benefits

No PCS is authorized.

Pay

Salary range for GS-14 is $87,614 to $121,470.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
