Media Supervisor – Paid Search
About the Role
The Media Management Supervisor serves as the day-to-day client contact for all aspects of their business within the Home Services industry, a high-performance media landscape where optimizations and budgets shift frequently based on demand. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Search and LSAs, with multiple years of experience on Google and Bing platforms. This role involves leading client status calls to review media and business performance, providing recommendations, and managing media planning and buying projects.
The Supervisor should be passionate about analyzing media data and its impact on business goals, with a strong foundation in digital media channels like Programmatic, Search, and Social. As a people manager, the Supervisor will oversee at least one direct report, focusing on training, mentoring, and team development. They will collaborate with an internal team, including a Media Investment counterpart, to drive client projects forward. The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver who can balance strategic business impact with tactical execution, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and proactively manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Search and LSAs, with deep expertise in Google and Bing platforms.
- Understand the client’s business, including products, services, goals, industry trends, competitive landscape, and challenges.
- Provide thought leadership internally and externally, bringing innovative ideas to clients.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s Scope of Work contract and flag scope creep to team leads.
- Track all added-value deliverables to support Scope of Work development.
- Serve as the primary client contact to keep projects and initiatives moving forward.
- Maintain constant internal communication to ensure team members deliver high-quality work.
- Lead internal status calls, ensuring all content is up-to-date and team members are prepared for client updates.
- Support client status calls by owning updates for managed projects and providing expert commentary on business, media, and relationship-building.
- Prepare materials and thought leadership for internal strategy, campaign, dashboard, and QBR kick-off meetings.
- Develop, manage, and QA all client billing with senior guidance.
- Track and QA campaign pacing and budget, alerting leaders to discrepancies early.
- Manage a direct report (Associate or Specialist level), including training, regular check-ins, professional development, and annual reviews.
- Review custom dashboards daily to monitor media performance and business impact, alerting the team to any issues.
- Develop analysis and insights for media performance in preparation for client reporting calls and recaps.
- Create content for media plan presentations, including success measurement, discovery, strategy, channel alignment, audience targeting, and plan output.
- Collaborate with Media Intelligence and Media Investment to address the client’s strategic business needs.
- Own all CYRIS outputs for plan presentations, including multiple planning scenarios and alignment on recommendations.
- Pursue continual training and certification in Social, Search, and Programmatic platforms to enhance media acumen.
- Collaborate internally across multiple teams and departments on client assignments.
- Build a strong working relationship with day-to-day clients.
Requirements
- Must be located in the DFW area or willing to relocate.
- 3-5+ years of media experience in an agency or client environment.
- Strong experience in Search and LSAs.
- Experience managing at least one direct report.
- 1-2+ years of experience leading client communications.
- Fluent in business and media data analysis, with an understanding of business goals and impact.
- Passion for paid media, including both digital and traditional channels.
- Strong media acumen with expertise in Programmatic, Search, and Social platforms.
- Eagerness to train, mentor, and manage a direct report.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
- Experienced in prioritizing deliverables for a direct report and skilled at delegation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Docs.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and embodying the company’s core values daily.
