Media Storyteller

The Role

The Media Storyteller will play a vital role in sharing the stories, activities, and impact of GoTEN’s work with refugees in Phoenix, AZ, including the Syrian, Afghan, Somali, Iraqi, Rohingya, and other displaced communities.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute social media campaigns to raise awareness about GoTEN’s services and the experiences of refugees.
• Showcase English classes, sewing sessions, tutoring services, and other activities through engaging content.
• Bridge the gap between refugees and the broader community by highlighting their journeys and contributions.
• Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure all content aligns with GoTEN’s mission and values.
• Manage and grow social media following to increase visibility and engagement.
• Stay updated with trends and best practices in social media management and content creation.

Requirements

• A passion for storytelling and a deep commitment to GoTEN’s mission.
• Experience in social media management and content creation is desired, but enthusiasm and creativity are more important.
• An understanding of cultural sensitivities and an appreciation for diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to craft compelling narratives and use various social media platforms effectively.

• Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
