Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Media Relations: Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies; cultivate and maintain media contacts; write press releases and pitch story angles; respond to press inquiries and facilitate media interviews.
- Editorial & Content Creation: Create engaging articles for company platforms; draft and edit executive memos, presentations, and briefings; submit high-quality entries for industry and brand awards.
- Crisis Communications & Issues Management: Manage communications for crises and emerging issues; draft talking points, FAQs, and communiques; monitor media and social sentiment; provide weekend on-call support.
- Communications Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce communication processes; audit cross-functional content; train and guide internal partners on best practices.
- Cross-Functional Support & Special Projects: Manage ad-hoc communication requests; provide strategic support for special projects and initiatives; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (completed coursework in Communications required).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, and/or media relations.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, including planning and executing concurrent internal and external communications programs.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executives, and decision-makers.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace platforms.
