Media Manager, Reputation Marketing & Insights
Support the US media strategy, planning, and execution of paid media campaigns for Reputational Marketing & Insights (RMI). This role challenges you to be resourceful, think strategically while managing details, translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and change.
About the role
Reputation Marketing & Insights (RMI) is hiring a Media Manager to develop and execute paid media campaigns that educate key audiences about public affairs issues relevant to Amazon’s brand. You will support global paid advertising programs within Amazon’s Communications and Corporate Responsibility organization, managing holistic media planning and execution for several key global reputation initiatives annually based on real-time business needs.
You will independently oversee day-to-day campaign operations and optimizations (via agency partners) while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on strategic direction. Balancing competing priorities—such as speed-to-market vs. sophistication or reach vs. frequency—you will deploy your expertise in paid media and public affairs to build media plans, identify optimizations, and ensure campaigns meet their objectives.
Accountability includes campaign performance metrics like awareness lift, message association, and cost efficiency. You will also identify opportunities to create scalable processes, measure and communicate campaign effectiveness to senior stakeholders, and partner with product experts to build next-generation media buying tools.
Responsibilities
- Write comprehensive media briefs aligning public affairs objectives with marketing strategies (e.g., economic impact, small business, technological innovation, customer experience).
- Oversee agency partners' day-to-day campaign management and optimizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (research, creative, measurement, and public policy) to develop campaign strategies that educate and build trust with global audiences.
- Interpret data insights to enable quick, nimble decision-making.
- Educate internal and external stakeholders about paid marketing strategies and tactics.
- Jointly develop and execute a product roadmap for brand and reputational buying tools in Amazon’s demand-side platform.
About the team
Our team identifies the persuasive return on investment for every dollar spent. We build marketing plans that engage core audiences through best-in-class media tactics and measurement methodology, optimizing toward platforms that deliver real-world outcomes. We support new team members with a culture of knowledge sharing and mentorship, assigning projects that foster growth into more complex tasks.
