About the Role
Provides training mission activities by delivering Digital Media Exploitation instruction to ensure effective understanding and application of skills taught. Develops, reviews, and refines lesson plans in accordance with the program. Evaluates and assesses student baseline understanding of tasks, delivering instruction in classroom and scenario settings. Performs ongoing evaluation of student knowledge and skills, providing verbal feedback and written evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Review, refine, update, and comment on lesson plans.
- Write personal lesson outlines in support of existing Programs of Instruction (POI) and lesson plans.
- Design and develop training materials in support of lesson plans and POI guidelines.
- Develop realistic training scenarios to replicate real-world operations.
- Plan, develop, and implement training courses in support of POI.
- Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess participant learning.
- Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance course quality and learning outcomes.
- Train on locating, identifying, and safeguarding potential sources of digital evidence.
- Teach how to search for digital media while documenting and preserving data in accordance with accepted standards.
- Instruct on report preparation and verbal and written reporting of digital media examinations.
- Teach the use of computer forensic hardware.
- Train on media exploitation and recovery of digital evidence in accordance with U.S. federal and state laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 5 years of experience in a related field; OR
- Nine (9) years of relevant training and/or military experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and/or military experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in intelligence analysis, document and media exploitation, and/or digital forensics.
Working Conditions
- Required to spend 50% or more of time operating a computer.
- Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment.
- May occasionally be required to work outdoors.
- Clearance by the Department of Defense, drug screening, fingerprinting check, and expanded background check required.
- This position is funded by an external funding source (e.g., a grant or contract).
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including University holidays.
