Media and Operations Intern

About the Role
We are looking for an Intern to support Public Opinion Productions broadly across digital media, operations, research, office management, and more. This is a hands-on role for someone excited to learn how a modern digital media company operates from the inside. Interns will work across the business, gaining exposure to content strategy, audience development, branded content, production workflows, and creator operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing media company
- Assist with general office and production operations, including equipment organization, studio setup, supply management, package handling, inventory, and production errands
- Help manage internal systems, trackers, databases, and documentation to keep projects organized and on schedule
- Assist with publishing content across social platforms and prepare captions, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, and other assets
- Track platform performance and audience analytics, updating reports and insights
- Support branded content and partnership campaigns by helping organize deliverables and materials
- Assist with merchandise fulfillment, website updates, and other operational projects as needed
- Take on special projects across the company, providing support wherever it's needed as the business continues to grow
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student based in NYC, ability to work in-office at least 2x per week
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace; experience with Squarespace, YouTube Studio, Photoshop, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Interest in social media, digital publishing, and content strategy
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn
- Passion for culture, music, entertainment, and human storytelling
Pay
The base salary for this role is $17 per hour. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
