About the role

SPK is a modern paper recycling company in West-Friesland that processes all collected waste paper and cardboard from North Holland into high-quality new products, i.e. raw materials. Old newspapers, magazines, advertising materials and cardboard are sorted upon arrival, then pressed into bales, and subsequently reused by the paper and packaging industry in the Netherlands and abroad. Through our activities, yesterday's newspaper becomes tomorrow's newspaper. That is the circular economy!

As a production worker in sorting, you will work at our paper recycling company on the production of secondary raw materials. In this role, you are responsible for the sorting line in a team of 4 employees. On this department, incoming paper is sorted and processed. You are responsible for the progress of the production process and delivering the right qualities of finished product in the right quantities. You regularly have work consultations together with the production leader and employees, where you discuss the progress on the department.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in carrying out work activities safely
• Operate the forklift where necessary
• Report imperfections in production equipment and/or machines to the production leader
• Become knowledgeable about the operation of all machines and tools used in the department

Qualifications

• MBO work and/or thinking level
• Good command of the Dutch language in speech and writing
• English language skills are a plus
• Forklift certificate is a plus
• The right attitude and willingness to succeed within the organization
