About the role
The Medication Technician at The Ridge is responsible for administering medications and treatments in assigned areas. This position works in luxurious, resort-like facilities with amenities such as chef-prepared meals, coffee bars, exercise and therapy equipment, and spa services. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring safety and compliance with infection control and resident rights, and assisting in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate records of medication and treatments given.
- Be alert and active in supporting the facility’s commitment to safe practices, infection control, and resident rights.
- Set up and pass oral medications as prescribed.
- Make proper chart entries regarding residents’ medications.
- Take and record residents’ temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Stock and prepare medication cart for rounds and always observe safe and secure practices.
- Observe and notify the nurse of any negative drug effects or interactions and assist in resident care emergencies.
Requirements
- Valid state CNA or home care aid certification.
- 1-2 years working in a memory care facility preferable.
- Valid CPR/First aid card.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$25.00 - $27.00 /Hr.
