Med Tech/RA (Part-Time) - Langston Square

Langston Square, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking Resident Assistants and Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related roles. Our Medication Technicians deliver high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in a cutting-edge Assisted Living Community. This dual position combines Resident Assistant and Medication Aide shifts, offering a dynamic work experience.

Langston Square has partnered with Tapcheck, a mobile app that allows team members to access their earned wages instantly, empowering them with more control over their finances.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents' rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and education programs and obtains continuing education required by state regulations.
• Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.
• Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
• All changes in a resident’s condition are reported as soon as possible to the supervisor.
• Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Operates equipment safely and only uses equipment for which previous training has occurred.
• Utilizes infection control precautions and practices in all activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of fire and emergency procedures. Reports all safety violations.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
