Med Tech/Nurse Assistant (CNA Preferred)

Description

Bishop Gadsden, located on James Island, SC, is seeking new team members for their assisted living facility. As a not-for-profit, faith-based retirement community affiliated with the Episcopal Church, they are the Southeast's leading life care retirement community, situated just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents, including ADLs as needed.
• Assist residents with dining needs, including dining room assistance and in-room dining service.
• Encourage resident independence and optimal functioning.
• Utilize standard precautions of infection control in all resident care.
• Document resident care information accurately and on a timely basis in the EHR.
• Respond to pagers in an appropriate amount of time during shifts.
• Participate in “lunch duty” as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Experience in long-term care for the elderly preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain upon employment.
• Current SC Nurse Aide Registry C.N.A. Certification, in good standing, preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical abilities to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Read and comprehend numbers and written material.
• Professional representation of the Bishop Gadsden community.
