Med Tech II Blood Bank ( Full-time, Days)

Responsibilities

• As needed, assist the Laboratory Section Supervisor in a variety of tasks relating to division operations, i.e. CAP testing, NACCL’s procedure, writing, etc.
• Review and monitor test findings obtained by laboratory personnel, check validity and accuracy of results in conjunction with CAP and HGFA requirements.
• Perform directly or assist staff technologists and technicians in performance of difficult or unusual studies and procedures.
• Act as a resource to laboratory and medical staff.
• Absorb and distribute workload as directed by the Section Supervisor.
• Assist Section Supervisor in supervising assigned staff members.

Requirements

• American Society for Clinical Pathology (Required)
• MLT or C-MLS (Required)
• MT (ASCP or NCA), MLS(ASCP), or previously qualified as Medical Technologist prior to 2/28/92 under 42CFR493.1427 (3/14/90)

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
• Education Specialization: chemical, biological or laboratory science/medical technology science
• Equivalent Experience: And 5+ years
• Minimum of five years’ recent experience in a laboratory setting

$32.50 - $51.85/Hourly

Schedule

Days, Full-time - Shifts start 6-7 am until 3pm-3:30pm (ends). Mon-Fri + Every other weekend/ holiday
