About the role
Responsible for performing basic bedside nursing tasks in a clinical setting, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and providing patient care such as feeding, bathing, and assisting with treatments.
Responsibilities
- Report patient condition changes
- Prepare deceased patients for the morgue
- Maintain cleanliness of units
- Orient new aides
- Assist healthcare professionals with procedures
- Administer medications as instructed
- Perform bedside duties efficiently
- Take vital signs
- Provide bedside care
- Assist with treatments
- Prepare patients for procedures
- Maintain a clean environment
- Respond courteously to patients and staff
- Support healthcare team activities
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Registration as a Medication Technician
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Ability to understand instructions and perform basic math
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Work Conditions
Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing, often involving unpleasant duties.
Schedule
Day shift with rotating weekends.
