Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
We are actively seeking experienced Medical Surgical RNs for a Los Angeles County facility travel opportunity.
About the role
This is an 8-week contract position starting 08/27/2026 with 3 openings available. Shifts are nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Charting is done in Orchid, and a client interview is required. Orientation is held every Thursday, and onboarding typically takes approximately 3 weeks. Candidates must be cleared by LA County before starting.
- Potential to float between DHS facilities
- Daily timesheets signed by facility administration
- Solid color scrubs required
- Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per pay period
Responsibilities
- Provide acute care Med Surg/Telemetry RN services in a Level 1 Trauma Facility
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma Facility
- Active RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- MAB or CPI Certification
- LA City Fire & Life Safety Card (LA City only)
- Proof of COVID and Seasonal Flu Vaccination
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state of practice
- Full command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation)
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
Submission requirements: updated resume, nursing license, photo ID or driver’s license, BLS and other applicable certifications, and a skills checklist with a score of 3.0 or higher.
