Med- Surg Nursing Instructor

About the role

Jersey College is seeking a Med Surg Registered Nurse Instructor to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to the success of their students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care settings.
• Create a supportive and academically enriching environment for students.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation tools to assess student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
• Current active registered nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
