About the Role
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including patients with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Utilize advanced technology and skills to support complex medical needs in a 14-bed unit.
Responsibilities
- Interpret EKGs and perform central line care and bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
- Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT, and OT.
- Support patients requiring rescue Bi-Pap, high-flow oxygen, trachs, and vents.
- Ensure patient safety and recovery in a technologically advanced critical care environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Ohio.
- BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire).
- ACLS certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- PRN candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience and all certifications upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Magnet-recognized professional certification.
