Med Surg Nurse

About the Role

Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) specializing in high-acuity patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis. This role involves delivering advanced nursing care in a 14-bed, technologically equipped unit, assisting with bedside procedures, and supporting patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for high-acuity conditions.
• Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Employ critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, physical therapy (PT), and occupational therapy (OT).

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• PRN staff must have at least 1 year of RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certifications recognized by Magnet.

Schedule
