About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical unit to provide patient care utilizing the nursing process. The role involves evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to organizational standards and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care delivered
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Adhere to organizational standards and values

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
• Valid RN license in Missouri or a compact license
• BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
• Prior hospital experience preferred
• Additional certifications are a plus

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Extensive standing and walking
• Perform various physical movements essential for nursing duties

Unit Details

This Medical/Surgical unit cares for adults with diagnoses such as pneumonia, urinary infections, chest pain, COPD, and COVID. The role fosters skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation and acute medical care.
