About the role
Lead Charge RN responsible for managing nursing activities on a designated shift within specialized inpatient units such as Surgical, Acute Medicine, or NeuroSciences.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient care from hospitalization through discharge.
- Develop and implement complex individualized care plans.
- Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
- Act as a clinical resource, assess patient data proactively, and ensure adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Address care gaps, enhance patient satisfaction, and support safety protocols.
- Engage in practice advancement activities such as journal clubs, practice changes, and community education.
- Evaluate care quality and patient experience, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Lead unit activities, coordinate care, mentor staff, and ensure safety.
- Promote evidence-based practices and support organizational standards.
- Contribute to quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of med/surg bedside nursing experience.
- BSN preferred.
- Active RN licensure is mandatory.
- Leadership ability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.
- Experience in high-acuity settings and familiarity with multidisciplinary teams are advantageous.
