MED LAB SCIENTIST

Job Summary

Performs therapeutic and diagnostic laboratory test procedures, operates laboratory equipment, reports results, and performs other duties as assigned. Participates in quality management and accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent required.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must hold an MLS (ASCP) or equivalent credentials.
• Mental demands include prioritizing and organizing tasks, multitasking, effective communication, cooperation with others, correct performance of test procedures, accurate reporting of test results, adherence to directions, problem-solving, critical thinking in interpreting test results, teamwork, initiative, setting priorities, and functioning under stress.
